Paul Kohler – Vocals, Guitar, Tambourine

Paul has been a part of Version 6 since September of 2010.  He has been performing in both original and cover bands since the early 90’s and is thoroughly enjoying his most recent opportunity to make sweet sweet rock ‘n roll music. A founding member of The Naomi Star, a power pop band out of New Haven, CT, Paul has had the opportunity to record three original albums (available on iTunes) as well as tour throughout the Northeast. His biggest influences include The Beatles, Jeff Buckley, Big Star, The Beach Boys, Hannah Cranna, and David Warren.

When he is not singing and recklessly banging on his tambourine, Paul is a loving husband and doting father of two aspiring young rock stars. He is lucky to be a Special Education teacher and owner of a 200-year-old farmhouse (complete w/ chickens) in beautiful Keene, New Hampshire.

  John Roberts- Bass

jonJohn grew up in the Boston area and began playing bass in high school. All it took was hearing bassist Jack Casady from Jefferson Airplane for him to realize that this was the instrument for him.  In high school, he was a member of several bands playing at local coffee houses and high school dances. After high school, he attended what is now U Mass Dartmouth where he majored in Art, completing a BFA degree in printmaking. He then went on to Southern Illinois University, where he received his MFA in printmaking. He taught in the Chicago area before beginning his career at Keene State College where he is a Professor of Art. His prints and drawings have been exhibited widely in international, national, and regional exhibitions.

It was during his graduate study that he sold his cherished Gibson bass and ’69 Fender Bassman amp to buy art materials. Years later he took up the bass guitar for a second time and became a member of the Rick Russell Band in Keene, NH where they had a fair degree of exposure including the Keene Music Festival, the EF Lane Hotel, and even some air time on the local radio station with some of their original songs.  After breaking up in 2009, he helped to form the band Version 6 with several of his colleagues from Keene State College.  The band has now expanded to include two additional members,  both of whom have extensive experience as performing musicians. His musical influences aside from Jack Casady, include Jack Bruce from Cream, John Paul Jones from Led Zeppelin, John Entwistle from the The Who, and, of course Sir Paul McCartney. John is married to his wife Deborah, a Senior Business Analyst for Safeco Insurance Company, and they have three married children.

Chuck Mobilia – Drums

chuckieChuck grew up in western New York, near the Pennsylvania border where his high school friends started the band, Aqueous Dig`it, in 1968.  While he has played with three other bands, including Version 6.0, there was a 30-year hiatus from the middle 70’s until 2005 for college, work, children, lack of finances and many other bad reasons.

Chuck has always loved listening and playing most any type of music.  He challenges the stereotype that all drummers are Neanderthals and look like Ringo.  He has heard all the drummer jokes, most of which are true and that’s why he drums, rather than sings.  If asked to identify his drumming hero, he would pick Buddy Rich for his sheer love of drumming.   He watched Buddy on his many appearances on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson.

Chuck has two children, a daughter Laura married with a child Caitlyn and a son Kellen at Northwestern University.   His career in Information Technology spans both the private and public sectors. He heads Keene State College’s IT Security where he has worked for 14 years.

Julio Del Sesto – Guitar

julioJulio is a professor teaching photojournalism and multimedia at Keene State College. His photo work has been exhibited nationally and internationally. His photography can be viewed at He lives in Winchester, NH, with his wife Katie, daughters Lilia and Myah, cat, Macy, and dogs, Marley and Anna.
